  1. Hey Anika,

Wow, I learnt something new as well so thank you for sharing. Just a question - is the kotuku a native bird to Aotearoa?

  2. Talofa Mrs Fa'alili,
I'm not certain that it is, On a bird site it says it is a native New Zealand bird but can been seen in between September and January , around Whataroa South West land.

  3. Malo Anika,

Wow. It must be a rare native bird, just like our very special kiwi. I'd love to see one - although, if I did, I'd probably run in the other direction. Hah! What bird is that on the $100 bill?

    1. Hola Mrs Faalili,

That's definitely what I'd do too. The bird on the $100 note is the Yellow Head Bird (Mohua). The yellow head bird eats insects / bugs and can be found in New Zealand's South Island and Stewart Island.

      Anika
